Actual plate may be slightly different. We will try to replace the First In Flight with Bluegrass Roots. But it will be close to this design, until we reach 500 then will go for a much more colorful plate.

Apex Custom Guitars
| ||I strive to build instruments that rival and surpass the finest made. The vast majority of my guitars are built to order and I work closely with my clients to create their ultimate guitar. We’ll sit down one-on-one to discuss how you play and to learn what your guitar preferences are - like sound, finish and other appointments you might have in mind. Even if you don’t know exactly what you want we’ll figure it out together. We’ll come up with all the details and specs: wood type, neck size and shape, hardware and electronics, body style, everything! This is an exciting time; I mean what player doesn't love to talk about their dream guitar?

E.H. Montgomery General Store
We're located in the heart of Historic Gold Hill, North Carolina. The store was built around 1840 at a time when Gold Hill was fast becoming known as one of the wealthiest gold mining regions east of the Mississippi. The Montgomery was one of many mercantile stores in a town that spanned a mile in the 19th century.
The E. H. Montgomery Store is also Home of The Fifth String and Co
Many will remember us from the Bluegrass Festivals across the southeast. We still carry all major brands of Acoustic String Instrument products including D'Addario, Martin, GHS, John Pearse and more.. Our pick selection is also extensive. We have a variety of capos, tuners, instructional books, DVD tutorials and other accessories. Contact us for all of your instrument needs. 704.267.9439.
Friday Night Bluegrass Jam
The Montgomery is open late on Friday nights year round for the Bluegrass Jam. It is an Open Jam Session and we welcome all to come and have a good time. Only acoustic instruments are allowed. The only exception would be an amp for the upright bass. When weather permits there's pickin outside the store as well. The open air alcove next door to the Montgomery Store is a popular place to enjoy relaxing and visiting with friends. It's often used on Friday nights for an outside jam session area.
